Grace is the love of God poured out, through Jesus, on ill-deserving sinners. Can't be earned. And it is pride to believe I could ever add anything to the completed work of Jesus on the cross. Jesus said, "It is finished."
I have been living my walk with God as though I have to earn something and perform. It is like God is always disappointed with me,as I stumble and fail.
Do this. Don't do this. I was starting to believe that I couldn't win.
Then He reminded me of the true nature of His grace. And I'm learning to live knowing I just can't lose.

A Quiet Friday Night
I have thoroughly enjoyed a quiet evening alone. When I got my hair cut this afternoon, the cosmotoligist asked if I had Friday night plans. Nope. Instead I sat on the couch, got up made a frozen pizza, made a shopping list, went shopping, and then came back to the couch. I'm contemplating bed. It is a cool summer night so I may even opt for some warmer pajamas tonight.
The last couple weeks have been good although busy and at times rather intense. I can definitely say the biggest themes running through out it all are grace, God's promises, and persevering in prayer. I am at the moment looking at Him and asking with excitement, "What is next? Where is Your glory?"
Off to bed with this tired little girl. I may have passed the mark of another year on earth, but I am never too old to climb up into my Daddy's lap.
